Flight Operations

Three primary flight operations are available at Mountain Hawk Aviation:

Flight Instruction Services

We offer recurrent, primary and advanced flight instruction services including;

  • Flight Reviews, with an emphasis on Emergency procedure proficiency
  • Instrument recurrency (ICC) training
  • Mountain Flying techniques and procedures
  • Private Pilot License and Instrument rating training*
  • Complex or High performance check out training

*Persons wishing to pursue a Private license or Instrument rating be advised this in not a normal flight school. I require that you have the appropriate FAA written examination passed prior to starting and understand that I do not train to merely meet PTS standards. I make no guarantees as to time required or costs. I only guarantee I will train you to exacting standards, with no mercy shown in knowing emergency procedures and you will learn things that most schools do not have the time to teach you.

Aircraft Ferry & Delivery Services

With a pool of Professional experienced pilots (no “time builders” or “wannabees”) we can deliver most light GA single or twin engine aircraft anywhere in the western hemisphere. (we are working on tans-Atlantic ferry ops).

We can arrange Ferry permits for “out of annual” or otherwise flyable aircraft, even if located out of the US. Services include ferry preparation, pre-purchase evaluations purchase negotiations and delivery.

Aerial Photo & Video Support

At a fraction of the cost of a Helicopter we can provide an aerial platform for a variety of photographic or video needs. Special equipment can be rented, or you equipment and photographer/technician can be accommodated, including required FAA approvals, Airspace approvals and complete mission planning services. No “daredevils”, just careful, professional operations with a constant interest in safety and the ability to “get the shot”.
